ReferenceThe quota limits for each Messijo subscription tier. For a conceptual overview of how quotas work, see Understanding Quotas.
Quota types
Each Messijo plan includes two quotas that reset every billing period:
- Event quota: the maximum number of keyword-matched events that can be collected per billing period
- Lens result quota: the maximum number of Lens classifications that can be processed per billing period
Plan tiers and limits
| Plan | Event Quota | Lens Result Quota | Billing Period |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 100 | 50 | Monthly |
| Starter | 5,000 | 1,000 | Monthly |
| Pro | 25,000 | 5,000 | Monthly |
| Business | 100,000 | 25,000 | Monthly |
| Enterprise | Unlimited | Unlimited | Monthly or Annual |
How quotas are counted
- Event quota counts unique matched posts. One post matching two keywords counts as 1 event (deduplicated).
- Lens result quota counts each Lens classification. One event classified by two Lenses counts as 2 lens results.
- Events from ignored users do not count against your event quota.
- Events collected but not classified by a Lens do not count against your lens result quota.
Billing periods
| Billing Type | Reset Schedule | Billing Schedule |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | Same date each month (your billing date) at midnight UTC | Billed monthly |
| Annual | Quotas reset monthly, but billing is annual | Billed annually |
Check your current billing date in Team Settings → Billing.
What happens when you hit each limit
Event quota reached
When your event quota is exhausted:
- New keyword matches stop being collected until the next billing period
- Existing events remain accessible in your dashboard
- Notifications for new matches are not sent
- Your keywords remain configured but inactive until the quota resets
Lens result quota reached
When your lens result quota is exhausted:
- Lenses stop classifying new events until the next billing period
- New events are still collected (if event quota remains) but are not classified
- Notifications based on Lens routing stop working (keyword-based routing continues)
- Lenses automatically resume when the quota resets
Checking your usage
View your current quota usage at any time:
- Go to your Dashboard home page
- Look for the quota usage section showing:
- Events used this billing period (e.g., 842 / 5,000)
- Lens results used this billing period (e.g., 156 / 1,000)
- Days remaining in your billing period
You can also see detailed quota information in Team Settings → Billing.

If you’re approaching your limits
- Remove or pause keywords that generate the most noise
- Reduce platform selection: monitor only high-signal platforms per keyword
- Use compound keywords for more precise matching
- Ignore noisy users: filter out accounts that generate many irrelevant events
- Stop unnecessary Lenses: only run Lenses that provide value
- Upgrade your plan for higher quotas
